The George Eastman House is the world's oldest photography museum, founded by the 19th century entrepreneur who gave the world Kodak film and cameras. It contains many extremely early photographs, and a number of Indian photographs, including works by Bourne, Beato,

Shepherd and Robertson, Lala Deen Dayal, and others.

There are also a number of early copies of the Journal of the Photographic Society of Bombay dating to 1855,
