Their collection of Felice Beato images from 1857-1858 is exceptional,
and the Getty has many of the panoramic scenes of the city taken just after hostilities ended.
Over the years, the Getty has purchased a number of important India-related collections and albums and its collection is one of the most extensive in the US.
