The National Army Museum in London has a vast collection of military materials, with good coverage of the areas the British Army was most active in the first part of the 20th century. This includes the North-West Frontier Province.

500 oil paintings
25,000 prints, drawings and soldiers' art
over half a million photographs.

To enable building work to take place at NAM Chelsea and the movement of staff and resources around the premises to a number of essential areas of the building, it will unfortunately not be possible to arrange photography of certain items in the collection for a defined period. This work is part of a rolling programme to modernise all of the Museum and its displays, which will continue for some years. Photography of the collection will be affected from Monday 2 February 2009 until Wednesday 29 July 2009
