Photoraj is about images made from the 1840s to 1940s in the Indian subcontinent.

India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Burma, Afghanistan and Nepal during the British Raj.

One hundred transformative years through images and text.

The site covers the latest news, books, blogs, articles, collections and much more. It includes a database of images on eBay since October 2009.

A large image database is on its way, as well as many new features and applications to help make this a destination site for those into early photography in the subcontinent. Our Facebook page provides a continuous stream of site updates to fans.
