A month log exhibition at the Gandhi Center in Maryland, USA based on the History in the Making: The Visual Archives of Photojournalist Kulwant Roy from the Aditya Arya Archive. The opening reception on Oct. 2 will be addressed by the Ambassador of India to the US, Meera Shankar.

As one of the earliest photographic archives in the country, the Aditya Arya Archive began with the historical collection of the photojournalist, Kulwant Roy, presented to Aditya Arya, himself an eminent photographer.

This archive seeks to restore, collate and annotate the historical images of Kulwant Roy, presented to Aditya Arya. It is the intention of the archive to digitize, document and preserve this collection, and to provide a similar platform for other such photographic collections by making available the expertise acquired in the process. The archive would like to actively encourage the archiving of pre and post independence photography, both
amateur and professional and to disseminate these historical images through exhibitions and book publishing.
