VIJAYANAGRA Splendour in Ruins is an exhibition presented by The Prakiti Foundation & Lalit Kala Akademi in Chennai and the Alkazi Foundation for the Arts in Delhi from March 23 until April 4 2009.

The exhibition is based on the photographs taken by Alexander Greenlaw at this historic site; dating to 1855-1856 they are some of the earliest architectural photographs taken in India. The story of Alexander Greenlaw's work has recently been told in the book by George Michell published in December 2008 by the Alkazi Foundation for the Arts and Mapin Publishing.
