Omar Khan has been researching historical photography in the Indian subcontinent for twenty years.
He is the author of From Kashmir to Kabul The Photographs of John Burke and William Baker 1860-1900 (2002) and contributed the essay War Photography in Nineteenth-Century India and Afghanistan to Reverie and Reality (2006).
A graduate of Dartmouth College and Stanford University, he is researching and writing a book on early postcards during the Raj.
